Julie Chávez Rodríguez, State Director for U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, and Dave Cortese, Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors will offer their expertise on how states and localities can fight against the Trump administration's anti-immigrant executive orders.
- Julie Chávez Rodríguez oversees all office operations across five district offices and serves as the Senator's principal representative among constituents and elected leaders throughout California. Previously, Julie was the Special Assistant to President Obama and Senior Deputy Director of Public Engagement at the White House.
- Prior to joining the Board and being elected as President, Dave Cortese served eight years on the San Jose City Council, including two years as Vice Mayor. On April 14th, a federal judge held a hearing to consider Santa Clara County's motion seeking a nationwide preliminary injunction against Trump's order to deny funding to sanctuary jurisdictions.
